Every year I buy books from Barnes & Noble, or Amazon, or my local indie with every intention of reading them but the year comes and goes and I've yet to crack the spines on SO many of those books. So I've decided to create a list of 15 books that I really wanted to get to this year but didn't, hopefully making this list will get me to READ some of these books, and you can also tell me if you think any of these books aren't worth my time. So here, in release date order, are 15 books I didn't get to but really wanted to.
- I'll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios
- Bone Gap by Laura Ruby
- All the Rage by Courtney Summers
- The Remedy by Suzanne Young
- The Game of Love and Death by Martha Brockenbrough
- Uprooted by Naomi Novik
- Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray
- Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman
- Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas
- The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich
- Blood and Salt by Kim Liggett
- Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
- A Madness so Discreet by Mindy McGinnis
- The Rose Society by Marie Lue
- All In by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
So there are 15 books I totally meant to read in 2015 but didn't get to. Are there any you think I should add to the list? Any you think I should take off?
Don't forget to check below for the two giveaways and enter!
Giveaway #1:
I have a whole bunch of book and book-related things to give away and I decided the best time to do so would be during the holiday season! Unfortunately Christmas (and Hanukkah and every other holiday out there) has come and gone, so what better time to give it away than while I'm celebrating all the fantastic books out this year and the ones I'm looking forward to next year? I'm pretty sure there is no better time. But you're probably wondering what you can win, so here's a little list;
Your choice of one of my favorite 2015 reads

This one is US/Canada only, just because shipping will be so expensive outside of the US, although if you live outside the US and have family or a friends who would mail the prize to you feel free to enter. All you have to do is enter using the rafflecopter below.

Your blog is quite amazing and enjoyed it immensely. Love some of your 2015 picks and cant wait to read others!! Happy Holidays:)
ReplyDeleteOne book I was disappointed I didn't get to read and wished I could've in 2015 was 6 of crows there has been a lot of rave about it and unfortunately I didn't get to it
ReplyDeleteHm, I didn't particularly like A Madness So Discreet, and The Rose Society wasn't as good as The Young Elites in my opinion, but I've heard nothing short of praise for Six Of Crows so that's definitely on my list of books I wish I had gotten to in 2015. Let's see... I'm not sure if you have read The Wrath And The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh yet, but if you haven't, you should definitely give it a try! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThere are only a few books I didn't get to in 2015 that I'm excited to read this year. Those would be The Heart of Betrayal, Winter, The Immortal Heights, and Frozen Tides. I'm sure I'm forgetting some though...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
An EMber in the Ashes and The Wrath and the Dawn were great. Cannot wait to read Beauty of Darkness

ReplyDeleteI pretty much have the exact same list that you do! Although I do have a couple to add. Winter, Ice Like Fire, The Archived, and Kiss of Deception to list a few! Super excited to get my hands on Queen of Shadows! Ugh the Throne of Glass series is just amazing! Who do you ship? Celeana x Macon or Chaol???
ReplyDeleteI started reading Queen of Shadows back in September, but because of school I wasn't able to finish it. So one of the books I will make sure to read in 2016 will be Queen of Shadows.
ReplyDeleteAnswer 2: Last Year's Mistake by Gina Ciocca. Along with the salt water taffy I you're supposed to read with it. ;)
ReplyDeleteBooks I wish I could've gotten to in 2015 - definitely Queen of Shadows, Wolf by Wolf and Golden Son. They're first to be read in 2016. :)
ReplyDeleteThe book i wish i could've gotten to in 2015 was All the rage by Courtney Summers, I love Summers' books and I really really want to read ATR.
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to get around to reading Frozen Tides. I even bought the book but haven't gotten to reading it yet, even though it was at the top of my reading list for 2015. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI wish I would've gotten around to reading Illuminae- I feel like I'm the last person to finally read this one!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had gotten around to reading Illuminae and Wrath and the Dawn! I've heard so many wonderful things about those two, so hopefully I can read them this year!

ReplyDeleteI wish I had read The Young Elites by Marie Lu! I haven't read it yet, but dying to!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many I could mention. But mostly I wish I had gotten around to reading After you by Jojo Moyes. I have been waiting for that story to be continued for what feels like forever...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Queen of Shadows. I pre-ordered it and everything and was so excited to read it when it came out (still am really excited!) and I just didn't have enough time to read it. I plan on reading it before January is over.
ReplyDeleteYou must get around to Six of Crows! It was one of my favorite reads from 2015. I haven't read I'll Meet You There, A Darker Shade of Magic, or An Ember in the Ashes, so I hope I can get to them soon.
ReplyDeleteA Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah Maas!!
